Women Aware’s Moving Beyond Abuse 5K Race & Charity Walk will take place (rain or shine) on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Johnson Park – Grove 4 (click link for directions) in Piscataway, NJ. This is a USATF-Certified 5K flat course. For those who wish to run/walk a shorter course or simply support Women Aware by attending, there is an optional one-mile Charity Walk. Registration covers either option. Teams are encouraged to sign-up to run/walk together. All event proceeds will benefit survivors and families moving beyond abuse through Women Aware.
Register in advance of race day and save $10! Advance registration is $35. Registration on race day will be $45. Free for children 11 and under.
First 100 registrants receive a Swag Bag with giveaways. All registrants receive a Moving Beyond Abuse 5K t-shirt.
Starting Point: Off River Road—parking and race entrance is Violet Drive.
Parking is on your right of park entrance. The start line is by kiosk/restrooms.
Park entrance and parking can be found by searching “Johnson Park Grove 4” on GPS.

Women Aware is the state-designated lead domestic violence agency for Middlesex County, New Jersey. For over 41 years, we have been providing comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence and their children. All of our services are free, confidential, and available to any victim regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender or gender expression, religion, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, and marital, military, or immigration status.

Our mission is to promote the safety and self-sufficiency of individuals and families affected by domestic violence in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Women Aware aims to stabilize the lives of domestic violence victims, increase victims’ safety, and reduce barriers to services. We have continually expanded our programs to meet the diverse needs of victims through emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, legal advocacy, case management, children’s trauma therapy, and counseling.
